There are opportunities to serve once or to dive into more of a leadership role. No commitment is too small! We welcome all and provide a variety of great opportunities!
Maximize your Trade Commission engagement by volunteering at an event or joining a Trade Commission committee. We know you will find volunteering to be rewarding and a positive experience. We’ve seen first-hand how it opens doors for new opportunities to build relationships with fellow Trade Commission members and helps grow your business – all while you are helping our Trade Commission and the community!
Benefits of being a Trade Commission Ambassador:
Benefits of becoming a Trade Commission Ambassador include visibility and recognition for you and your company. As an Ambassador you will also meet new business people and make new business contacts. Trade Commission Ambassadors are business people who have volunteered their time to serve as a Trade Commission representative. Through this, Ambassadors focus on building relationships, encouraging new member involvement, and assisting in retaining Trade Commission membership – the backbone of our organization.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer opportunities exist in all areas, including:
Event Participation – Volunteer at one of the many seasonal events by lending a helping hand. Opportunities to work with attendees, assist event logistics, guest services, and much more!
There are 2 exciting ways to get involved in Trade Commission events:
a) Volunteer at a single event; they are singular commitments for shifts from 1-4 hours.
b) Volunteer to help plan an event and assure success for all involved; typically a 3-6 month commitment with group meetings offering lots of opportunities to connect with fellow Trade Commission members.
Committees
a) Membership: The Membership Committee oversees membership recruitment and retention, as well as maintains our event calendar, assuring interesting speakers and exciting events for our members. This committee also has the honor of serving as Ambassadors for new members and potential new members to our organization.
b) Marketing & Social Media: The Marketing & Social Media provides guidance on ways to increase visibility of the Trade Commission , promote all Trade Commission events and its member businesses, using traditional and online tactics. The Marketing Committee schedules meetings as needed throughout the year.
c) Public Relations Committee – The Public Relations Committee manages and contributes significantly to the Trade Commission newsletters, Press Releases and position papers
d) Public Service: The Public Service Committee was created to assist the Trade Commission in selecting, coordinating, and conducting community service projects for members to participate in, enhancing our community.
