Victoria C. Silutongwe, FIoDZ, is an established and accredited trainer in corporate governance under the Global Corporate Governance Forum of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ). A corporate governance advocate with good communication skills, innovative, self-starter, highly motivated, honest, open minded, approachable and friendly and enthusiastic to learn.
Over 20 years’ experience in advocating for good corporate governance practices by attending and facilitating at numerous seminars and workshops on corporate governance. Past President and Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Zambia. She joined the IoDZ in April 2003 as Administrative Officer and rose through the ranks to become the Executive Director, National Vice President and subsequently President of the Institute.
Victoria was instrumental in raising the profile of IoDZ through her spirited advocacy of good corporate governance practices and tireless contributions to the growth of the Institute at different levels.
Previous engagements: Banker with the Zambia National Commercial Bank; Scientific Officer at the National Council for Scientific and Industrial Research; Banker with Standard Chartered Bank Plc; Manager at Rentokil Zambia Ltd.; Executive Director at Kayula Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Current positions: Partner at ENVIS Consulting Limited: Operational Head at the African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN): Nonexecutive Director for Mukuru Money Transfer Zambia Limited; Adjudicator for the Zambia Institute of Marketing Annual Awards; and Independent Consultant with IoDZ and Axxess Corporate Secretaries Ltd.
Victoria holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and Post Graduate Diploma in
Management Studies (PDMS) from Cavendish University Zambia. Victoria also holds a Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Sciences) degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Lecturing Methodology (PDLM) from the University of Lusaka.
Board level experience includes serving on various boards and committees in the private and public sector companies and organizations.
