Data security on the USAfriTC web site

The USAfriTC respects the security requirements for personal data. The following explains how the USAfriTC handles personal data, what data is collected and how the data is used.

Collecting and processing personal data

Personal data represents information on your identity, e.g. your name, e-mail or mailing address. Such data is only stored if you make this information available to the USAfriTC, for instance, to order a publication.

Use and dissemination of personal data

The USAfriTC uses your personal data exclusively for technical purposes in the administration of the web pages. It provides the means for enabling your access to information as well as other communications with you. The USAfriTC will not provide your personal data to third parties or use it for any other purposes. USAfriTC employees and volunteers are committed to confidentiality.

Options

You are free to decide what information you want to make available to the USAfriTC. In case you choose not to furnish any information, you might be unable to access some contents of our website. If your personal data has changed, notify the USAfriTC to correct or update the information.

Automatically collected data

When you go to a USAfriTC web page, general data, which is not personal, is collected (what Internet browser is being used, number of visits, average duration of visit, what pages were brought up). This information, recorded automatically (thus not via registration), is used to develop a basis for making the site more attractive, enhancing its contents and functionality. In this instance, too, no further use or dissemination of your data takes place.
